Am Mittwoch, den 26.04.2023 um 18:00 Uhr findet im Raum AR -HB 022 eine Vorbesprechung statt.
Eine Anmeldung für die Vorbesprechung ist zwingend erforderlich.
Die endgültige (verbindliche) Anmeldung kann erst nach (!) der Vorbesprechung vorgenommen werden.
Neben den Kursgebühren entstehen ggf. Kosten für Lehrmaterialien, Arztuntersuchungen (ca. 27,-) und Prüfungsgebühren (Theorie und Praxis zusammen ca. 103,-).
Der Sportbootführerschein See und der Sportbootführerschein Binnen-Motor sind die in Deutschland einzigen staatlich vorgeschriebenen Pflichtführerscheine, wenn man die Meere und Küstengewässer (SBF-See) oder Binnenreviere wie Flüsse, Kanäle, Seen (SBF-Binnen) national wie international mit Booten einer Motorleistung von mehr als 15 PS/11,03 kW befahren möchte; bzw. auf dem Rhein bereits ab 5 PS/3,68 kW verpflichtend.
Diese Basisführerscheine sind nicht nur für Motorbootfahrer*innen gedacht, sondern auch für Segelinteressierte, da in beiden Führerscheinen auch Grundwissen des Segelns Prüfungsstoff ist. Hintergrund für diese Gemeinsamkeit von Motor- Segelbooten ist, dass bereits auf den meisten noch relativ kleinen Segelbooten ein Motor mit 5, 15 oder mehr PS als Hilfsmotor vorhanden ist und dadurch ggf. das Segelboot juristisch als Motorboot gilt und der entsprechende Führerschein Voraussetzung zum Fahren wird.
Darüber hinaus gibt es beim SBF-Binnen-Führerschein auch das Modul Segeln, in dem theoretische und praktische Segelkenntnisse vertieft behandelt werden. Dieser SBF Binnen-Segeln-Führerschein ist grundsätzlich ein freiwilliger Führerschein, jedoch ein Pflichtschein für das Segeln in Berliner und Brandenburger Gewässern.
Hinsichtlich Kosten- und Lerneffektivität ist folgende Reihenfolge der Kurse und der sich jeweils anschließenden Prüfungen empfehlenswert:
1. SBF-See (Theorie- und Praxisprüfung, im Normalfall an einem Tag)
2.a. SBF-Binnen-Motor (Es ist nur noch die Theorieprüfung erforderlich, wenn der SBF-See-Schein vorhanden ist. Die praktische SBF-Binnen-Motorprüfung fällt dadurch ebenfalls weg. Auch ein erneutes ärztliches Zeugnis entfällt, wenn der SBF-See-Schein nicht älter als 1 Jahr ist.)
2.b. SBF-Binnen-Segeln (Es empfiehlt sich, die Theorieprüfung von 2.a. und 2.b. in einer Kombiprüfung zu absolvieren. Innerhalb eines Jahres nach der Segeln-Theorie sollte jedoch die SBF-Binnen-Segeln-Praxis Prüfung abgelegt werden, damit der SBF-Binnen-Segeln-Schein ausgestellt werden kann.)
Die Uni Siegen bietet in wiederkehrender Abfolge folgende Kurse an:
1. SBF-See-Theorie, inkl. Praxisausbildung in Kooperation mit einer Bootsschule, Kursgebühr 235,-
2.a. SBF-Binnen-Motor-Theorie, als Aufbaukurs nach dem SBF-See. Das Wissen aus SBF-See wird vorausgesetzt, eine Teilnahme an früheren Kursen der Uni Siegen ist jedoch nicht Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme, Kursgebühr ca. 50,-
2.b. SBF-Binnen-Segeln-Theorie, Kurskosten ca. 45,-.
Die Kurse 1., 2.a., 2.b. sind unabhängig voneinander und offen für Studierende und Uni-Bedienstete. Das Mindestalter beträgt 18 Jahre bzw. 16 Jahre bei Einverständniserklärung der Erziehungsberechtigten.
Im genannten Preis ist der komplette SBF-See-Führerscheinkurs enthalten (also auch Kosten für Übungsfahrt/Praxisausbildung), nicht jedoch die Prüfungsgebühren. Des Weiteren sind im Preis Lehrmaterialien und die Anreisen zum Übungs-/Prüfungsort (z. B. Essen oder Köln) nicht berücksichtigt.
Die praktische Prüfung wird voraussichtlich im Hafen Essen durchgeführt.

In addition to the course fees, you may be required to pay for teaching materials, medical examinations (approx. 27.-) and test fees (theory and practice together approx. 103.-).
The recreational boat license - sea (SBF-See) and the recreational boat license - inland-motor (SBF-Binnen-Motor) are the only mandatory licenses required by the German state if you want to sail the seas and coastal waters (SBF-See) or inland waters such as rivers, canals, lakes (SBF-Binnen) both nationally and internationally with boats with an engine power of more than 15 hp / 11.03 kW or of 5 hp / 3.68 kW or more on the Rhine.
These basic licenses are not only intended for motorboaters, but also for those interested in sailing, as the tests for both licenses also cover basic sailing knowledge. The reason for this commonality of motorboats and sailboats is that most of the still relatively small sailboats have an auxiliary engine with 5, 15 or more hp and, consequently, the sailboat may be legally considered a motorboat requiring the appropriate license.
In addition, the SBF-Binnen license also includes a module on sailing which deals with theoretical and practical sailing knowledge in greater depth. This SBF-Binnen-Segeln license is generally a voluntary license, but mandatory for waters in Berlin and Brandenburg.
With regard to costs and effective learning, the following sequence of courses and subsequent tests is recommended:
1. SBF-See (theoretical and practical test, usually in one day)
2.a. SBF-Binnen-Motor (only the theoretical test is required if the SBF-See license has already been obtained. The practical SBF-Binnen-Motor test can then also be skipped. A new medical certificate is likewise not required if the SBF-See license is less than 1 year old.)
2.b. SBF-Binnen-Segeln (It is recommended to take the theoretical test for 2.a. and 2.b. in a combined examination. In any case, the SBF-Binnen-Segeln practical test should be passed within one year of the theoretical sailing module so that the SBF-Binnen-Segeln can be issued.)
The University of Siegen offers the following courses on a recurring basis:
1. SBF-See theory, including practical training in cooperation with a boating school; course fee 235.-
2.a. SBF-Binnen-Motor theory as an advanced course following SBF-See. The knowledge from SBF-See is required, but participation in previous courses at the University of Siegen is not a requirement for participation; course fee approx. 50.-
2.b. SBF-Binnen-Segeln theory; course fee approx. 45.-
The courses 1., 2.a., 2.b. are independent of each other and open to students university and staff. The minimum age is 18 years, or 16 years with the consent of a parent or guardian.
The listed price includes the entire SBF-See license course (i.e. also the costs for training cruise / practical training), but does not include the test fees. Furthermore, the price does not include teaching materials or travel to the training / test location (e.g. Essen or Cologne).
The practical test will presumably be held at the port of Essen.
